I am sorry not to have been able to meet you at the Airport this morning. Both Sir Arthur Galsworthy and myself are anxious to see you as soon as this can be convoniently arranged but I imagine you would very much prefer, after your journey, to spend the weakond quietly at home.

However, if you fool that you would like an early opportunity to have a talk with either of us, please do not hesitate to contact one of us, Sir Arthur Galsworthy will be at his home on Downland 54901, which is fairly near London. I myself hope to be at my home in SusSEX (for a change) and can be reached on Chiddingly 267. There may be some complications about getting 3ir Arthur up to the office over the weokand as he has rather badly damaged his foot in an accident and is immobile as a rosult. But, as I havo said, if you would really like to talk to us before Konday we should be able to fix something up.

At 10.30 a.m. on Monday we have a rather urgent and important meeting with technical experts about the llong Kong vater situation, However, 10 would be very glad and ready to see you at noon if that is convenient. And I hope that you will have lunch with me afterwards.

We are sure that you will wish to avoid contact with the Press on arrival, so far as this is possible, and the bearer of this letter, Will Carrogher, who is a member of our News Department, will give you every assistance in this respect.
