which Sergeant Chu had earned up to the date of his dismissal should be paid to him and that his medals should be returned to

him. He proposed in the circumstances to discuss the matter

with Mr. Anthony Koyle, M.P. The Minister assured \r. Jenkin

that he would be happy to see him again either on his own or with

Mr. Royle if, after they had discussed the matter together, they

wished to see him.

6. On 15 October, the Minister again saw Mr. Jenkin, together with Mr. Royle. The Minister repeated the facts of the case but

both "r. Jankin and Mr. Royle remained unconvinced that an

injustice had not been done, The Minister then said that he would

discuss the matter with the Governor when the latter visited

London during the week beginning 21 October. Mr. Royle also

said that he would seek an interview with the Governor for the

same purpose.
