the letter didn't say so, the meaning was that the Special Branch
would be doing the search. The letter was written by CHU Leung.
know it was written by CHU Leung because I recognized the handwriting
and it was signed "CHUI" (note not the same character as "CHU"

in CHU Leung). The character "CHUI" was a pre-arranged contact
signal between CHU Leung and Mr. X, I know this because Mr. X told

The next meeting with CHU Leung was held at the Jackson Cafe,
Johnston Road, about the end of October, either on the 22nd or 23rd.
He telephoned me to go to the Jackson Cafe, to have tea. At this meeting I was asked by CHU Leung (identified) when Mr. X was going
to return to the Colony from Taiwan. I told him Mr. X would be
returning at the end of October 1961. CHU Leung asked me whether
I knew a person
living at Fife Building, Kowloon.
