Meetings:

Twice weekly.

Aims:

To maintain public morale.

To strengthen/restore confidence in Hong Kong and its future.

To counter opposition propaganda and subversion (e.g. among youth).

Targets:

Hong Kong Public.

Hong Kong Citizens Overseas (including H.K. Seamen)

Main function of the Committee is to promote a policy of positive publicity. Capacity for unattributable work is limited. Members do not represent their departments but are expected to come up with ideas and as a body to stimulate action (through GIS, Radio HK, Special Publicity Unit, etc.) and recommend action at higher levels. The Committee initiates field research studies and has developed into the central body coordinating propaganda and counter propaganda within Hong Kong and countering; subversion (by positive means) of Hong Kong people overseas.
