Bomb Disposal Courses
Please refer to your letter to Price of this department (ref. D/DS6/7/116/4 of 29 February).
2. As we are in the process of collating M.O.D. charges for assistance rendered during the recent I.S. operations in the Colony and these have so far exceeded £im. (without the Naval or Air Force charges), it is unlikely that the comparatively small charge for the se bomb disposal courses will make much difference.
3. We suggest that C-in-C Far East be advised to pass on the costs to the Hong Kong Government and it could be left to the latter to request any assistance, finance-wise, if they so desire.
