FUTURE DEFENCE POLICY
THE HONG KONG GARRISON
In accordance with the instructions of the Chief of the Defence Staff (1), the Defence Policy Staff is required to examine and report upon the impact upon the Hong Kong garrison of the withdrawal of forces from Malaysia and Singapore. Consideration is to be given to the composition and size of the garrison, reinforcement plans, and logistic backing.
2.
The 'C' Division is invited to prepare the report for con- sideration by the Directors of Defence Policy by 13th March 1968.
