We are content with the additions and amendmenta
circulated in OPD(0)(DR)(67)56(Revise) subject to one omission and a comment on Henry Jenkyns' letter of 19th September.
The comment is that we do not seem to have covered the point raised at our last meeting about the practicality of limited @vacuation list. being prepared. My understanding was that the Commonwealth Office would be discussing this further with the Gove.nor but it doee seen to us that it is crudel to make some mention of the practicalities as this is bound to be raised by Ministers,
As to leary Jenkyna' suggested addition to sub-paragraph 3(e), I would prefer not to see it included, though naturally we
My reason for have great sympathy with what he has in mind. opposing its inclusion is simply that I believe that far from providing "cover" it could well make things far more difficult and restrict the number of people we might get out, certainly so for as the troops themselves are concerned.
I have sent copies of this to Jenkyns, Hall, Sykea and
right.
