You last wrote to me on the subject of passing
copies of routine information and reports collected by the British posts abroad to our Export Credit Insurance Corporation on 1st February last. I had quietly promised myself not to bother you again for three months but, I am afraid, the unofficial members of the E.C.I.C. Advisory Board are becoming a bit restless at what they regard as untoward delay and an inexplicable unwillingness to assist the Corporation in this harmless way. They argue that, the original request having been scaled down to the minimum, it is surely up to Whitehall either to arrange for the various reports concerned to be made available to us without further ado or to explain precisely
is.
