On the question of the Community countries withdrawing from
the G.A.T.T. individually and re-joining as a single body,
Mr. Muir confirmed that legally there was nothing in Article
XXIV of the G.A.T.T. which required this. Also while in a sense
it would be logical for a completed economic union to be a
