At Mr. Haddon-Cave's request an agreed note on the talks was

approved (Annexe A). This took into account a check list of

points for consideration which he had himself circulated at an

earlier stage of the talks (Annexe B).

2. Mr. Haddon-Cave also circulated a draft note for use by

himself in speaking to press correspondents on his return to

Hong Kong. This was approved after amendment in discussion,

in the form shown at Annexe C.
