Your savingram 404 enclosing the Benelux Aide Memoire of 18 May has been received.

You should now inform the Benelux representatives that the Government of Hong Kong:
(a)
(b)
views the 60-day period for consultations as running from 22 May, the date of receipt in Hong Kong of the Benelux Aide Memoire;
is willing to enter into consultations as soon as the Benelux Governments can make the necessary arrangements and considers that they should be held in Hong Kong;
(c) hopes that the Benelux team will be empowered to
bring the consultations to a conclusion within the 60-day period;
(a) requests details of the import restrictions which have
been introduced;
(e)
and
notes that these restrictions are temporary pending the outcome of the consultations.
