Mr. Sorby added that, following official approval of the proposals, full details would be announced of the future arrangements for trade in the items affected. He could state, however, that the proposals provided for
the exercise of export control in Hong Kong.

Council following his return to the Colony.
At the same time, the Hon. G.R. Ross, an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council, has been appointed to be provisionally an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council during the absonco from Hong Kong of the
Hor. S.S. Gordon.
