Mr. Verhagen then proposed that, following the exchange of information and figures, both sides might reflect on the position and discuss the matter further in the course of the next few days. He added that, whilst conscious of Hong Kong's rights under the G.A.T.T. some practical ways and means could perhaps be found to solve the serious problem confronting the Benelux industries and Governments.
