Attached is a revised version of the draft circulated under OPDO (DR) (68)5, taking into account comments made by departments at the 6th Meeting of the Working Party
2. The text of paragraph 8 awaits,
Treasury clearance.
3. A revised version of paragraphs 17-19 will be prepared and circulated when the Ministry of Defence's paper on the strength of the Hong Kong Garrison is available, with any consequential amendments that may be necessary to Conclusions (a) – (c).
4. It may not be possible to state in paragraph 53 how many Hong Kong Chinese inthe United Kingdom are aliens. If the information is available it will be given at the next meeting of the Working Party.
