I refer to my letter to Morris (Board of
Following the Trade) of 15th September. meeting which I held here yesterday, I have now redrafted the paper on the economic con- sequences of the loss of Hong Kong.
2. As the broad substance is now, I think, acceptable to all concerned, I would be very grateful to have any final comments in the course of tomorrow (21st September).
3. I am sending copies of this letter and enclosure to Jenkins (D.F.A. Darlington (Board of Trade) and Carter (C.0.)
