the loss of Hong Kong might mean for the U.K. economy, the Commonwealth office in the material they are preparing would include indications as to what might happen to the Hong Kong economy if there were a prolonged period of heavy Chinese pressure on the Cclony. We in turn would stand ready to add to this in respect of the consequential effects on the U.. economy and financial interests.
