Details on incident at Pok Fu Shan cabled earlier.

It is now established six policemen including an Inspector and two military personnel were injured. Two of them were serious. Full details of accident are not yet known but the two explosions are believed to have been mines laid for the defence of the post.

From preliminary reports available tonight it appears that five constables from the police post were working on a rainwater tank when the explosion occurred. This tank is situated between the original perimeter fence and an outer barbed wire fence. At least one of the constables is assumed to have stepped off the concreted area surround- ing the water tank, detonating a mine.

The second explosion occurred some twenty minutes later when a Police Inspector, an Army Sergent, an Army Medical Orderly and a Private were removing the injured including a constable whose foot was blown off. The Inspector was seriously injured, losing his right foot..

The Medical Orderly and the Private were only slightly injured.
