in swap deal'

Mr. Frank Knight,, a British police inspector kidnapped from Hong Kong into China three weeks ago, is to be exchanged for five leading Communists held in Hong Kong, it was claimed last night.

Last night the Foreign Office would not confirm or deny the report in a Hong Kong news- paper-but Hong Kong authori- ties issued a statement indicating it might be true.
