I appreciate reasons why process of setting up the talks with the Chinese may take longer than we should like. But I hope everything practicable will be done to secure early results on the abductions, and assume that this is first topic that we shall wish to be included as soon as talks start. I gained impression from Question Time last week that feelings in the House are running high on this issue and if we cannot show soon that we are doing our best to make progress towards securing early release of the policeman concerned we shall run into trouble.
