There has been overnight 10/11 August another incident similar to, but on a larger scale than, that reported in my telegram No.1172. Details are still unclear, but weapons were again seized and ultimately returned. Another document has been signed at gun point. The Chinese workers concerned have returned to Chinese territory.

With the exception of Lo Wu and Sha Tau Kok the border has been closed.
