Incident at Sha Tau Kok on 8 July.

The police opened fire with ball ammunition for the first time at about 11.20 hours after two Pakistani policemen in the post had been killed by snipers and two other policemen in the relieving company mortally wounded. Permission to open fire was obtained by wireless by the senior police officer in the post. The weapons used were carbines.

2. The attempt to blow up the perimeter fence took place later, at about 11.48 hours.
