(S. of S. please pass to both)

At 14 1020.

An Army helicopter in bad visibility may have

flown into Chinese territory immediately opposite the Lo Wu bridge. The incursion, if it took place, was minimal both in distance and time since the pilot immediately turned south on discovering that he had crossed the northern flight boundary. The pilot believes that he did not in fact cross the frontier. Ground observers and his passenger think that he may have done so. Investigations so far indicate that a marginal overfiight did take place.
