Dear Prune hin ister
The son of a constituent of mine who has lived and worked in Hong Kong for many years, has written to me paying a fine tribute to the hard work and great loyalty of the Hong Kong Police, many of whom, as you know, are men of Chinese origin although loyal subjects of the Queen.
He has suggested that a fitting tribute to their devotion to duty would be for the Queen to be asked to designate them "The Royal Hong Kong Police", by which title they would be known in the future.
I should be grateful if you would give this suggestion your consideration, and if you think fit advise Her Hajesty that this would be a fitting tribute.
You
