Addressed to Foreign Office telegram No. 81 of 26 September Repeated for information to Hong Kong and Washington
'People's Daily' of 24 September lists prominently 27 slogans for use on 1 October. All but 7 are on internal subjects, and continues present trend of emphasis on need for unity, support for army and importance of production. References to cultural revolution are comparatively muted the reference to Communist party, described as great, glorious and correct, is in noticeably warm terms.
2. Slogans on foreign affairs are on' predictable lines. They include denunciation of Soviet-led modern revisionism and determination to liberate Taiwan. There is no (repeat no) reference to Hong Kong.
3. Full text follows by bag.
Foreign Office pass Hong Kong 20 and Washington M 29.
