Cathay Pacific Airways advise that passengers embarking. Kota Kinabalu for Hong Kong are extremely reluctant to transit Manila, and fear possible demonstrations there. C.P.A. have therefore decided to suspend services via Manila forthwith, until further notice, and operate Kota Kinabalu/Hong Kong direct. C.P.A.'s announcement will stress that decision has been taken for commercial reasons.
