with the exception of paragraph 16 thereof on ndition that First Atomic Chip Transport Incorporated or other private operator undertakes
in writing to fulfil the same obligations, and oi condition that Her Majesty's Government retains
all Ights under that Annex in the event that those
obligations are not fulfilled.
With respect to Annex 2 of the Agreement
have the honour to propose that except in
Paragraph 1 thereof and unless the context other wise requires the expression "United States
iterever
Maritime Administration"where it occurs shall be
construed so as to include a private operator, as referred to in the third paragraph above, with whom an Freement of Indemnification is in effect us described in paragraph 6(a) of that
Annex.

modifications should enter into force, on the
date of Your Excellency's reply confirming that they are acceptable to the Government, of the United States, and should remain in force unless
terminuted by either Party given 2 months notice
in writing to the other Tarty.
