Rankin asked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs what are the present arrangements for cooperation between the Hong Kong Authorities and the United States naval ships using a Victoria Harbour.
Mr. Whitlock: There is, of course, close liaison between
United States representatives in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong
Government as part of the normal arrangements which operate
between the authorities and visiting naval vessels of a friendly
power.
