Chapman Pincher, Daily Express correspondent, has asked us to confirm that H.M.G. requested cancellation of visit.

We have replied: "We asked for a rearrangement of a visit by the Constellation within the programme of visits by American warships. This involved the cancellation of its proposed visit this month. We are refusing to be drawn any further.
