Visits of U.S. Warships to llong Kong

I am replying to your letter AUS (POL)/5559 of 25th July about visits of Imited States warships to Hong Kong.

We take your point about the need to consider at this present time the strategic and military aspects of this matter and will gladly ensure that the Ministry of Defence are consulted before decisions are reached about any future visits.
