I enclose copies of two signals received from Commodore Hong Kong (1702082 and 200755Z February) concerning the proposed visit of USS ENTERPRISE and BAINBRIDGE to Hong Kong from 14th to 20th March 1967. It is possible that a further signal from Commodore Hong Kong might be received forwarding an official request. However, in view of the time factor, it is felt that immediate action is m cessary.

2. The USS ENTERPRISE is a nuclear powered attack aircraft carrier and USS BAINBRIDGE a nuclear powered guided missile frigate. An NMMT is available.
