Situation here quiet.

During day left-wing groups called at various Government offices seeking clarification Governments policy on reinstatement dismissed workers.

This morning police evicted eleven men who were inside offices Hong Kong and China Gas Company in Gloucester Building. Earlier two other men left offices peacefully. During eviction member of police party received minor injuries when kicked and punched. One man arrested charged.

Last night three men arrested during incident in Mongkok Kowloon, They were among crowd of four hundred assembled in playground, dancing, singing and chanting. Playground cleared with use of loud hailers but later they formed hostile groups in vicinity refusing to leave. Police dispersed them with eleven tear gas shells, one baton shell and tin chemical

mace.

At about same time group fifty mostly children gathered outside Hunghom Ferry Pier Kowloon shouting and singing which attracted about two hundred onlookers. Police dispersed them without incident. Man brought back to police station for enquiries but later released.
