The Hong Kong Daily News, a small Right Wing newspaper, reported on 28 December that there were plans to deport two Communist film actors now under detention, Fu Chi and Shin Hui, to Taiwan. On 30 December Communist newspapers reproduced the story adding that a director of the Phoenix Film Company (Jen-i-chih) who is also under detention was on hunger strike in protest against a similar threat of deportation.

2. There is no truth in any of these allegations. It looks as if the local Communists have swallowed a piece of Kuomintang propaganda whole.
