Police on Hong Kong Island last night arrested five men during raids on two premises of Carpenters General Union in Central and Eastern districts.
One of detained men was Vice Chairman of the Union. He and another man were arrested when police carried out a search of Union premises at 75B Hollywood Road in Central. They will be charged with possession of inflammatory posters. Three other men were arrested at about same ti me when police called at Union premises at 229A Queen's Road East in Fanchai.
Police also seized a number of inflammatory posters
during the raids. Ends Informs.
