4. By 1500 the situation in general area was quiet, a total of some 300 loitering expectantly in small groups. Two platoons of Pakistani Police were among those deployed, and their performance throughout was exemplary.

5. No ball ammunition so far reported used. casualties: 1 Inspector, 1 N.C.0. and 4 P.Cs slightly injured. About 12 arrests, one seriously injured when attempting to escape.
