People's Daily of 13 July carries two articles on Hong Kong. The first reports the Court appearance of NCNA reporter Hseuh P'ing on 12 July and subsequent protests at Government House. The second describes incidents on 11 July centering on the Wah Fung Emporium at North Point which is said to have been set on fire by tear gas bombs.

Demonstrations by NCNA and newspaper employees outside this office started again this morning.

So far these are on a comparatively modest scale.
