That this House congratulates the Hong Kong Police on their outstanding courage and behaviour, in spite of unprecedented provocation from well organised political groups, in recent riots, and hopes that their example of meeting needless and senseless violence with minimum retaliation and without recourse to military assistance will be followed by police forces the world over faced with civil disorder and unarmed rioters.
Since this has been tabled for "an early day" it is most unlikely that parliamentary time will be found to debate it,
