China. It should be possible to obtain supplies from

deepsea fishing vessels of other countries, e.g. Thailand

or Japan.

(d) Vegetables. 60% of the consumption comes from China.

Alternative sources could be found in Taiwan, Philippines

and Thailand.

5. There was a concerted effort last weekend to bring about a general

strike in the public utilities. This met with only partial success.

Public road transport was affected most;

curtailed, are adequate and are improving.
