of the authorities concerned must be given opportunities to comment but are not entitled to be present throughout the investigation.

(a)

An Ombudsman usually has discretion to refuse to investigato trivial or tine-expired complaints.

(c) Ile reports

the result of any investigation to the department or authority concerned.

(ii) Annually, and publicly, to the legislature. (iii) Specially, to the legislature where an authority

fails to take satisfactory renodial action.
