despatch No.685 of the 3 May, 1966, and to inform you that the power of disallowance will not be exercised in respect of the provisional

appointment of Mr.Herbert Cohn Charles Browne,J.P to be an Unofficial Member of the

Legislative Council with effect from the 10th May, 1968, until the 30th June, 1968. Mr. Browne's definitive appointment after that date was dealt with in my telegram No.1030 of 30th, May 1968.
