IN VIRTUE OF POWERS vested in me,
I, DAVID CLIVE CROSBIE TRENCH, Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, upon whom has
been conferred the Decoration of the Military Cross, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same, do by these presents appoint you
GEORGE RONALD ROSS
Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Justice of
the Peace, provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be
an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong with
effect from 20th July 1968, during the absence from the Colony of
Michael Alexander Robert Herries, Officer of the Most Excellent Order
of the British Empire, upon whom has been conferred the Decoration
of the Military Cross, Justice of the Peace.

Seal of the Colony at Government House, Victoria, Hong Kong, this
