I have the honour to inform you that I have

appointed Dr. S.Y. Chung, provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council with effect from 16th May, during the absence from the Colony of Mr. Y.K. Kan.

Dr. Chung's previous provisional appointment reported in my Despatch No. 782 on 18th April expired on 13th May 1967, following the return to the Colony of Mr. F.S. Li.

Copies of the Instrument of Appointment in respect of Dr. Chung and of the Gazette Notice promulgating his appointment are attached.
