Designated the "Tri-Loader," the new hydraulic attachment is designed for use on Clark's line of 6,000 lb to 8,000 lb electric and gas trucks. It is particularly suited for narrow-aisle storage applications, where guide rails are employed.
This Tri-Loader attachment incor- porates a patented pantograph me- chanism that enables the fork carriage to move 180 degrees laterally. This means that aisles need only be 14 in wider than the load being carried. The pantograph mechanism is geared to the vehicle's upright rails to minimise side stress in the carriage.
Hydraulic cylinders are used to move the fork carriage laterally. Posi- tioned to the left or right of the lift truck, the fork carriage is capable of lifting 3,000 lb.
