OTIS RELIABILITY HELPS

A hospital must have reliability in all matters. This is particularly required of its lifts, which transport doctors, nurses, orderlies and other personnel from floor to floor. They must get where they are going as quickly. as possible.

Speed, a smooth ride, safety and cleanliness are equally vitally essential in hospital bed passenger lifts.

Otis has installed the lifts in the new BRITISH MILITARY HOSPITAL in Kowloon:

Main Hospital Block

2 Light Traffic Passenger Lifts (load, 600 lbs; speed, 100 ft. per min.)

2 Intensive Traffic Passenger Lifts (load, 1500 lbs; speed, 500 ft. per min.)

2 Hospital Bed Passenger Lifts (load, 3500 lbs; speed, 500 ft. per min.)

General Duty Goods Lift (load, 2240 lbs; speed, 200 ft. per min.)

Staff Quarters Block

Passenger Lift for Officers (load, 1200 lbs; speed, 300 ft. per min.)

Passenger Lift for other Ranks (load, 2000 lbs; speed, 300 ft. per min.)

In addition there are six Otis Electric Dumbwaiters in the two blocks.
