IHI are planning to develop a similar vehicle with a сгапе and bucket for performing difficult work on reclaimed ground which cannot be done by conventional bulldozer.
VIBRATCR
Extra Horsepower for Stiff Mixes
TWENTY per cent more horsepower than any of their previous models is provided in a new petrol-driven vibrator_produced by Stow Manufac- turing Co., 627 Shear Street, Bing- hampton, New York, USA.
With 74 h.p. the poker can be used to vibrate the stiffest mixes. It operates at speeds from 6.000 to 9,300 vibrations a minute. Flexible shafts are available in lengths from 3ft. to 35 ft.
There are seven vibrator heads. Four
1/4 in., 1% in., 2in. and are 21⁄21⁄2 in. diameter by 10in. long round heads. The others are the same dia- meter and length as the smaller heads but have four fins around the outside of the heads to give more area con- tact with the concrete.
The 725G, as it is known, has a 360 degree swivel mounting and is available with either a pan base or а wheelbarrow base. It has an automatic centrifugal ball bearing

DRILL
Miniature Tool for Use
in Rock and Concrete
HOLES of in. to 1 in. can be driven in hard rock and concrete by a new miniature drill made by Con- solidated Pneumatic Tool Co., Ltd., 97 Uxbridge Road, London, W.5. It
T
can also be used with non-rotating chisels and moil points.
The drill, the CP-14RR. weighs 15 lb. and has an overall length of 181⁄2 in. It has a simple plate type valve, air entering through six ports in the rear valves seat and passing through an annular space in the valve to a cup shaped piston head. The splined, hollow pis- ton is rotated by a ratchet ring and drives the chuck sleeve through a dog coupling.
CP14RR drill
To isolate the ratchet action and obtain reciprocating action only, a plunger which acts upon a sleeve surrounding the ratchet, is pressed, this rotating the sleeve and retracting the two pawls leaving the ratchet ring free to rotate in either direction. Both valve and piston are hollow to allow the passage of an air tube which feeds air directly to the rotating drill steels for flushing at the drill point, remov- ing dust and chippings.

MORTAR MIXER
Paddle Shaft Seal Stops Seepage
A HEAVY duty Muller mortar mixer has been added to the construction equipment exported by Almar Inter- national, Wyckoff, N.J., USA.
It has a patented paddle shaft seal which gives little friction and

eliminates any seepage of mixture along the shaft. The main bearing is recessed back from the drum for ad-
ditional protection. The drum is
constructed of abrasion resistant steel.
Capacities range from 32 cu. ft. to 12 cu. ft. Muller concrete mixers are made in sizes from 31⁄2 cu. ft. to 6 cu. ft.
BANK SLOPER
Attachment for Cat Do Tractors
SINGLE pass sloping in a wide range of tough materials is possible with an 8ft. hydraulic bank sloper design- ed by American Tractor Equipment Corp., Oakland, California, USA, for use on Caterpillar D9 tractors.
