domestic science laboratories, two needlework rooms, art, pottery, typing and geography rooms as well as the school library and administration suite on the ground floor. A two-bedroom principal's flat is situated on the roof of the low block to take full advantage of the view.

Generous

internal corridors, punctuated by standing spaces and views of the outside at the turns, form an internal circulation spine. Grouped on both sides of the central corridors are the teaching spaces which are pro- tected from the sun by deep horizon- tal fins.

All rooms are oriented to face north or south and have high windows flush with the ceiling to improve light- ing and ventilation. Beams are upturn- ed on the perimeter walls to the height
