Parker 48 ft. Loadascreen

SCREENING PLANT

Handles Sand and Gravel at 200 Tons an Hour

NOW in production at the works of Frederick Parker, Ltd., Leicester, UK, is a new Loadascreen combined loading and screening plant with in- creased output and stockpiling facili- ties.

It is basically the same design as the standard model but the boom is 8 ft. longer, at 48 ft., to give a greater discharge height. The angle of opera- tion is adjusted by simply turning the handle of the wire winch on the main boom support.

The 48 in. x 96 in. single or dou- ble Rapide screen is hinged and lock- ed beneath the conveyor boom when the machine is towed from site to site, the overall height being 14 ft. 6 in.

The engine, diesel or electric. is mounted beneath the boom in a cen- tral position and there is a platform. for easy access to the controls. The 4 cu. yd. hopper has a reciprocating tray feeder, and a hopper grid can be fitted when handling material larger that 6 in.

SPACE HEATER Powerful Unit for Drying Out Damp Areas

ABOUT 150,000 BTU of heat per hour is produced by the new B150T space heater, made by Stow Manufac- turing Co.. Shear Street, Binghamp- ton, New York, USA. This heat is thrown out at the rate of 800 cu. ft. of air per minute by a powerful four- bladed fan, powered by a 4 h.p.

electric motor.

Suitable for drying out damp areas, concrete, paint and plaster, the heater burns kerosene or second grade fuel

oil. It has an enclosed combustion chamber with plug jet carburation and there is no exposed flame.

Operation is on the miner's lamp. principle. The gas must pass through openings of .018 sq. in., which eli- minates unburned noxious gases.

A solenoid switch and a thermal over-run device automatically cool the heater when it is shut off and a remotely located thermostat allows room temperatures to be controlled. The B150T is 36in. long, 19in, wide and 29in. high. A 16 gallon fuel tank gives a minimum of 15 hours con- tinuous running.
