STORAGE SYSTEM
Self-locking, All Steel Construction
A SELF-LOCKING, all steel construc- tion system called Dexion Speedlock is designed for building all types of storage equipment, benches and small buildings.
There are two basic components upright frames and horizontal beams. The frames, in cold rolled steel sec- tions are available in three strengths to take maximum loads of 27,000 lb., 20,000 lb. and 10,000 lb.
All uprights are punched at 3in. centres with hexagonal holes to ac- commodate the hooks of the connec- tor plates. Frames may be made in heights from 3ft. to 24ft. in lft, in- crements.

The beams are formed of lipped channel section interlocked to form a box section for carrying strength and resistance to sideways knocks. standard beam depths are available in lengths from 4ft. to 14ft. Connector plates are welded to each end of the beam, all round the beam section for maximum strength.
Steel hooks pass through the rolled steel connector plate and are welded in position. These hooks have a tapered formation which gives rigidi- ty and easy connection and removal.
On each beam connector there is a locking unit. Once the beam is tap- ped home the lock engages in the face of the upright and holds the beam firmly in place.

CIRCUIT BREAKER
Earth or Neutral Connections as Standard Fitting
TEXAS Instruments Australia, Ltd. are producing a compact thermal magnetic circuit breaker for use as an alternative to fuse wiring.
Known as the Klixon control panel, it measures 8 in. by 5 in. by 4 in.

The urea formaldehyde panel enclo- sure complete with circuit breakers weighs about 2 lb. and provides earth or neutral connections as a standard fitting. Electricians can make neutral and earth terminations inside the en- closure on an eight-hole earth bar with provision for M.E.N. connection.
Circuit breakers are designed to provide separate circuits for light, power, stove, air-conditioner, general tariff supply and hot water systems. The Klixon operates on standard 240- 256 single phase application and en- ables power to be restored to a circuit by pushing a "tripped off" switch back to its "on" position.
If the circuit breaker does not hold and switches off again, there could be too many appliances operating or a faulty appliance in use. It is a simple process of elimination to switch ap- pliances off one by one until the cir- cuit breaker does hold and the fault has been isolated.

For Use in Taking Soil Samples
A NEW powerhead for soil auger drilling, the DR-4550, is being mar keted by Soiltest, Inc., Evanston, Ill., USA. It will accommodate augers up to 16 in. diameter.
The main purpose of the tool is in taking samples of soils or other ma-

terials. It is powered by a 9 h.p., two-cycle engine and has a recoil starter and anti-friction bearings. A centrifugal clutch which is totally en- closed slips on overload to protect the Dual operator and the machine. handlebars allow two men to use the equipment.

WASHBASIN
Trough Design for School Installations
THE F772 trough washbasin made by Armitage Ware Ltd., Armitage, Staffs, UK, is designed particularly for primary school installation.
It is manufactured in ceramic glazed ware and has a simple styling. A shelf, provided with a small up- stand, runs the full length of the trough, providing ample room to keep toilet articles.
The range of fittings available in- cludes Nuastyle Spraymixas' (as shown) giving a choice of cold, tepid or hot water from one tap, or alternative- ly the unit can be supplied without tapholes for wall mounted fittings.
