acoustical ceilings

answer every building need

Armstrong Acoustical Ceilings provide much more than simply acoustical control and decorative interior finish. Within the scope of the total ceiling system there is a wide variety of specific materials from which to choose each with its own per- formance characteristics, surface patterns, sizes, efficiencies and alternative methods of installation. Whatever the architectural design, whatever the method of construc- tion, there is an Armstrong Ceiling System specifically suited to every building. Armstrong Fashiontone. The fissured sur- face provides a subtle decorative design. Its square edges join so tightly together that the finished ceiling has the appearance of a one-piece continuous surface.

Armstrong Cushiontone. One of today's most modern high-style ceiling designs. A variety of designs from fissured and per- forated through to embossed acrylic plas- tics or Inlaid with metallic accents to create a smart, decorative accent to any

room.

Armstrong Minatone. This highly efficient, noncombustible acoustical ceiling material of mineral fibre is available in a range of extremely decorative designs. It is easily installed, repaintable and particularly suit- able for high humidity areas. T. & G. edges provide a tight, level finish.

Armstrong Travertone. The fissured traver- tone design, with either square or bevelled edges, is a traditional choice for elegant style, whereas the Embossed design, with bevelled edges, offers a truly distinctive ceiling of wavering striations. Both designs are suitable for concealed suspension sys- tems.

Armstrong Minaboard. Available in Fis- sured and Classic surface patterns, the large lay-in Minaboard panels are blended with special toughening agents to provide rigid panels of high strength. Used with

exposed suspension systems, Minaboard has the advantage of easy removal for access to concealed pipes, ducts and elec- trical fixtures.

Armstrong Ventilating Ceiling Systems. Thousands of perforations in this ceiling allow conditioned air to be distributed evenly and without draught through the ceiling itself

ohviating the need for diffusers and ductwork, Available in Fis- sured Travertone, Fissured and Classic Minaboard. Armstrong Plenum Engineering procedures make possible drawing board calculations to ensure maximum comfort and efficiency.

Armstrong Fire Guard Ceilings. Give up to 4 hours time design rated protection against heat and flame. Since it is both acoustical and fire retardant. Armstrong Fire Guard eliminates the need for instal- ling "intermediate" protection above the acoustical ceiling. Less than one fifth the weight of most "wet" types of membrane fire protection, Fire Guard is ideally suited to help keep total structural weight to a minimum.
