VULCANISING METHOD
A new method of cold vulcanising for rubber waterstop involves the use of a two-part vulcanising compound which is easily mixed and applied to the waterstop ends. The ends are then pressed together and the joint wrapped with a rubber cover.
A joint which can be made in 20 minutes, will accept normal handl- ing and can be placed at once. Materi-

CIRCULAR SAW
The 'Eager Beaver', a new concept in portable power tools, is circular saw that cuts backward as well as forward. It has two bases for right-hand and left-hand use. The back-cutting action or the saw makes it easy to cut long lengths of finished plywood without shattering or fraying the wood.
With two bases, the saw can be used with the blade to the operator's right, or flipped over to put the blade on the operator's left. It can also be eased into the top surface of finished paneling or plastic laminates to make precise poc- ket cuts for sinks, outlets, switches or other equipment.
The saw, which can cut non-ferrous metals such as aluminium siding and copper tubing, is equipped with a

chrome-clad set-tooth combination blade for mitre, cross-cut, and ripping cuts. Also available are a finish trim blade coated with Teflon-S; a carbide- tipped blade for laminates, flakeboard, fibreglass and plasterboard; and a chrome-clad blade for metals.
Blades are 4% in. diameter with a 5/8in. round arbor hole. Maximum depth of cut is 1 1/6 in. at 90 degrees, 3⁄4 in. at 45 degrees. The saw has a full ball and needle bearing, h.p. motor with a 4.2A rating. It operates on 115V, 50-60 cycles a.c. No-load speed is 6,000 r.p.m.
