Powered by a 110 h.p. direct injec- tion diesel, the LM 840 is the largest machine in the

range. Hydraulic transmission and four-wheel drive system is the same as the smaller LM 640, and although the 840 is a much bigger loader the turning radius is still only 18 ft.

Maximum outreach at 6 ft. loading height is 4 ft. 11 in., and the load over height is 12 ft. 1 in. Standard bucket for the LM 840 is 14 to 2 cu. yd.

Smallest in the range is the two- wheel drive LM 422, which has a 14 ft. turning radius for confined space working. Engine is a 47 h.p. direct injection diesel driving through a six-forward, six-reverse speed gear- box. Maximum outreach at 6 ft. load- ing height is 4 ft., and the loadover height is 11 ft. Standard bucket is 4 cu. yd.

Next machine is the LM 620, fitted with a hydraulical- ly operated gear- box. torque con- verter and power steering. The en- gine is a 69 h.p. direct injection die- sel, and transmis- sion provides four forward and four reverse speeds. Load over height is 1 ft. 10 in.. and out-reach at 6 ft. loading height. 4 ft. 6 in. Standard bucket is 11⁄4 cu.

The LM640 is a four-wheel drive loader with the same engine and transmission system as the 620. Four- wheel drive is automatically disengag- ed when the machine is in road gear. Loading heights and other figures are as for the 620, but the standard bucket capacity is 1% cu. yd.

DESIGNED for industrial applica- tions, the Holman RO17FS single stage rotary screw air compressor may be driven directly or by V-belt, using an electric motor, petrol or diesel engine. It is fully self-contained and complete with air blast oil cooler and mounting base.

Output at the maximum shaft speed of 2,000 r.p.m. is 170 cu. ft. (4.8 metres) per minute at 100 p.s.i. A free air delivery of 118 c.f.m. (3.4 cu. metres per minute) is available at 1,440 r.p.m., and full working pres- sure is maintained at all normal input speeds and demands by a combined minimum pressure and isolating valve.

By simply rotating a dial with your thumb, the speed of the Stanley speed control sabre saw may be increased or lowered to suit the material being cut.

The operator holds the handle with one hand and dials speeds of up to 3.000 strokes per minute with a full 5% in. stroke, and 23% in. cutting capacity. Versatility of the new saw

is based on its solid state electronic circuit; a silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) feeds power into the tool as required.

The saw features a 1/5 h.p. Stanley motor, a two-position tilt base, heat- treated precision gearing, oil im- pregnated bearings, 8ft. three-wire

cord, and a chip deflector.
